How do children and adolescents see their city? The DIPAS process ‘Your Places in Hamburg’ now makes their perspectives visible. In cooperation with the Kindermuseum Hamburg e. V., sponsor of Urbaneo – Junges Architektur Zentrum (Young Architecture Centre), and Stadtwerkstatt Hamburg, young people are given a playful introduction to urban development, architecture and participation.

A touch table is available for this purpose at the Urbaneo interactive architecture centre. Here, children and young people can use DIPAS to mark their favourite places in Hamburg, to identify problem areas and to contribute their ideas and views directly to the digital city map. In this way, they learn in a practical way how participation works and how they can help shape their city.

The two-year pilot project aims to show how DIPAS can also be used for low-threshold child and youth participation. The contributions will then be presented to the Hamburg politicians to give young voices a stronger say in urban development.
